A free feasibility study for your idea: a first draft in minutes

Facts last checked: 21 September 2026

A feasibility study answers one question before you spend: is this project worth starting? Most of what a search turns up is blank templates you fill in yourself, or ready-made studies written for someone else’s project and someone else’s market. Here you describe your own idea, and the Hatchio team prepares a draft built on it: in your language, free, with every estimated figure marked as an estimate.

What does a feasibility study usually contain?

  1. 1The market study: who is the customer? How big is demand? Who are the competitors, and what do they charge?
  2. 2The technical and operational study: the location, equipment, suppliers, team, and how the service is delivered.
  3. 3The financial study: capital costs (what you pay once) and operating costs (what you pay every month), expected revenue, the break-even point and the payback period.
  4. 4The regulatory side: the legal form, licences and tax obligations. We have gathered the official steps in our guide to starting a business in Saudi Arabia.
  5. 5Risks: what could make the plan fail, and how you will spot it early.

What you get for free

  • Without signing up: a real first result for your idea, a market brief written by the team’s research specialist, so you see the kind of work before you give us anything.
  • After signing up: 40 free credits every month on the free plan, enough for a complete project of 20 or 21 deliverables. The research specialists look into the market, customers, competitors and regulations with live web searches, and cite every page they relied on, with its publisher and date.
  • Estimates of costs, revenue and the break-even point, each figure labelled “estimate” or “assumption” in the same sentence, never presented as fact.
  • What a traditional feasibility study does not give you: a brand identity, a real website with files you can download, edit and publish, and a launch plan from which nothing reaches your customers before you approve it.

What this draft is not

Not an accredited study

The draft carries no consultancy’s stamp, and we do not claim that any funder or support programme accepts it. If an organisation asks you for a study from an accredited firm, you will need one. The draft’s value is that you understand your project and its numbers before you sit down with a consultant or a funder, and know which questions to ask. Estimated figures can be wrong; check them before you rely on them.

How to check the draft’s numbers

  1. 1Compare the demand estimate with free official data: weekly point-of-sale spending from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), and the household expenditure survey and population census from the General Authority for Statistics. We explain the method with a worked example in our guide to sizing your market.
  2. 2Get three real quotes for your three largest costs, such as rent, fit-out and equipment, and put them in place of the estimates.
  3. 3Talk to ten potential customers before you pay any large sum, and ask them what they use today and what they pay for it.
  4. 4Recalculate the break-even point with your real numbers. If it moves a lot, that is the most important finding in the whole study.
