AI competitor analysis that ends in a decision

Most competitor analysis produces a grid of ticks and crosses and no decision. The useful version answers one question: given what these companies are already good at, what can we be that they would find hard to copy? That is a positioning question, and a feature table cannot answer it.

Questions worth answering about a competitor

  • Who are they genuinely the best choice for?
  • What do their unhappy customers complain about, repeatedly?
  • What would it cost them to fix that — money, or their business model?
  • If they copied us next month, what would we still have?
  • Are we competing with a company, or with a spreadsheet and a habit?

How Hatchio does it

Axel

Data & Competitive Intelligence

Axel turns the research into comparable terms — pricing bands, positioning, who each competitor is actually for — and William then uses that to make a positioning call and write down what was rejected. The output is a decision with its reasoning attached, not a grid.

  • Competitor analysis
  • Positioning, with rejected alternatives
  • Pricing context

What this does not do

Hatchio has no live web access, so it cannot look up a competitor’s current pricing page or latest release. Named competitors and figures must be verified before you rely on them — the analysis is a framework to fill in, not a market scan.
